The maiden edition of Eastern Region Media Excellence awards (ERMEA) took place at Linda Dor Plaza on Saturday 5th of August, with radio personalities in Eastern Region awarded for their hard work.

The night saw the host of Kingdom 101.9 FM’s mid-morning show host Maame Pokuaa, also known as ‘MP’ crowned as the Best Female Presenter of the Year Award.

We have lots of female radio presenters doing marvelously well in Eastern Region and MP is one of such ilk. Her passion, love for radio and unique personality has earned her this prestigious award.

Sharing her broadcasting journey with, she said, Errrrrh ….. I started radio 12 years ago but there was a breakup. After searching for a job for a year and two without any sign of getting one, I dropped the full time radio and did a part time with an FM station. Fortunately, I got myself a job with Kantinka FM in 2010.”

She added that “it has been a continuous 7 years without break – from Kantinka FM in 2010 to 2013, then to Thank You FM from 2013 to 2016 and now with Kingdom FM from 2016 to present.”

Make a date with the “ERMEA female presenter of the year” on Kingdom Fm’s Mid-Morning Show dubbed “Adwuma Nkosuo” every weekday from 10: am to 12:00 pm.

The night saw important personalities like Londona, Odehyieba Kwesi, Mr King, Ekow Poncho, Bishop Agbey Junior and many others who attended the show.
