The Minister of Designate, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum has said Ghana can become the best in the world when it comes to quality of education.
Speaking on a local radio station, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum was reacting to the announcement of his nomination as minister of education by the president.
He will be returning to a ministry where he served as deputy minister to Matthew Opoku-Prempeh who has being moved to the energy sector.
I don’t believe in the idea of being the best in Africa, I think we can be the best in the world, and our education system should fashion along those lines so that we fashion a system that makes us truly competitive throughout the world,” he said.
“I believe in myself but it also takes a leader that is looking for talent, a leader who is looking for competent people to serve his country.”
He praised President Akufo-Addo for nominating him and also insisted that he was ever ready to serve the country.
