A tweet by MTV Base Africa last year listing the top ten rappers in Ghana sparked lots of controversies, especially with the inclusion of Desmond Blackmore popularly known in showbiz circles as D – Black.

It seems the fire is still on MTV Base Africa as a tweet by one of Ghana’s finest rappers, Kwaw Kese, is interpreted as calling the MTV Base list a joke.

The list which was announced on MTV Base’ twitter handle on 10th December,2016 had M.anifest topping the list with rappers like Sarkodie, Omar Sterling, E.L, Pappy Kojo, Flowking, Edem, Kojo Cue, Worlasi and D-Black following in that order.

The criteria and procedures used in these selections still remains unknown. In a simple and concise tweet, the Madtime Entertainment boss spit; “The list MTV jokes #FDN”.

Wanluv the Kubolor also threw some jabs at MTV last year purposely for the inclusion of D-Black – naming rappers like Joey B, Medikal and Mensa as deserving candidates and not D-Black.
