Telenovela fervents in Ghana are about to be beguiled as a new Ghanaian-produced Telenovela titled ‘Luciana’ is set to hit their TV screens soon.

‘Luciana’ tells the tale and trinity of love between a couple whose life and fate are twisted beyond thoughts. Luciana finds out that the man who loves her, she loves not.  The man she loves is not the one she is in love with.

Just when she thinks she understands life, her fate is turned all over and she is back to the very place life begins. Luciana must fight the tussle thrown at her by her fierce antagonist, Ciara to win the love of Raymond (Peter Ritchie) even though she has a boyfriend Eugene (Elikem Kumordzie) waiting for her to come home.

She relies on her father, Mr. Akoto (Edward Kufuor) and mother with her best friend, Juliet (Salma Mumin) to find true happiness. Luciana features a list of popular faces in the Ghana music, film, fashion, and broadcasting industry, notably amongst them are:

Earl Ankrah, Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Akuma Mama Zimbi, Edward Kufour, PY Addo Boateng, Salma Mumin, , Elikem Kumordzie, and Johnnie Hughes. Others include; Bibie Brew, Peter Ritchie, Akosua Agyekum (Luciana) and Basira Mohammed (Ciara).

It was directed by Kwame Kyei Baffour, produced by Basira Mohammed and financed solely by Ceejay Multimedia.  After 6 weeks of filming, the director called the production a wrap on 15th December, and has since been in the post production stage.

A Telenovela is a great love story administered in easy installments and that is what Luciana is about. The sense of truth and falseness in this Telenovela is given by its ability to move you the audience. What is real is what is deeply unreal.

According to the producers, the year 2018 promises to be a great year for Telenovela lovers as Luciana would be airing on their favorite TV networks.
