A week ago, Presspeep.com published the story of American citizens of Ghanaian ancestry – Kwame Boateng, Kofi Siriboe, Kwesi Boakye better known as The K Brothers, doing splendid in Hollywood, finally home for the first time to explore their root.
Read the story below:
Rooted in their ancestral ties, they each have different last names, representing the indigenous Akan royal family tradition. The trio, made a journey to their ancestral roots of Juaben in the Ashanti region – and also, visited the King of the Ashanti region, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and took pictures in the king’s Manhyia Palace.
Below are pictures of Kwame Boateng, Kofi Siriboe, and Kwesi Boakye in their ‘Western’ dresses and Ghana’s traditional clothes – in the Twi language, we say ‘)mo atutu ntoma’ (literally, they are cladded or wrapped in our indigenous clothes). How do you describe them?
